Notes: This Vodka is produced from100% natural grain by the people who make Krogstad Akavit and Aviation Gin. Carefully filtered in the Russian methods of filtration using charcoal and limestone.

Appearance: Crystal clear, no sediment whatsoever. On swirling, it leaves a thin clear coat on the inside of the glass with droplets forming. A crystal clear limpid pool in the glass.

First Impression: A slightly sweet smell to it, slight alkaline. Nice grain smell  No smell of esters or oils- this is clean stuff.

TasteSweet and slightly oily on the tongue, thick body, with a crisp, mild bite to it. A slight  warming of alcohol as it goes down the throat, not the burn like you get from a lot of other vodkas- wonderful stuff. It has a lingering warmth and tingle to the lips. Chilling brings out the sweetness and body even more.

Drinks: The Martini was marvelous. A slowly stirred 3 or 4 to 1 ratio of Medoyeff to vermouth with a 1-2 dashes of a good bitters and lemon zest yields a wonderfully viscous yet piquant martini- a subtle yet wonderful thing. The other vodka drinks were also much improved by the body and texture of this vodka.

NOTE: Use Noilly Prat and  keep the vermouth refrigerated after opening for the best taste.

Final Thoughts: An good value for the money - cheaper than many of the other vodkas out there and better tasting!

Bottle: Simple frosted glass bottle with a large red "M" topped with a red star silscreened onto the bottlle with white lettering for everything else. Simple and nicely done in a minamalist sort of way (the only thing these guys do in a minimalist way)
